RECIPIENT OF TERRY PERKINS EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP CLASS OF 2024
The School District 25 Education Foundation’s scholarship selection committee announced the recipients of the 6th annual Terry Perkins Educational Scholarship. The $3,000 renewable scholarship was created in 2018 to help fund recipients’ post-high school education at an accredited two-year, four-year or vocational school. Recipients are eligible to renew the scholarship for an additional year if requirements are met, making the total potential value of the scholarship $6,000. Recipients may defer the scholarship for up to two (2) years.

HIGHLAND CARL'S JR. STUDENTS OF THE MONTH: MARCH


Congratulations to our Highland Carl's Jr. Star Students of the Month for March. We recognize these students and appreciate their hard work. They exemplify what Right Attitude Means Success means at Highland. We are proud that they are recognized for all they do. In conjunction with Carl's Jr. they are receiving a certificate as recognition and a coupon for a free meal at Carl's Jr.

MAKE-A-WISH
A huge thank you to everyone who participated in Make-A-Wish and helped raise over $10,000 to donate to Whitney who suffers from cystic fibrosis. Thank you to our Highland Idol contestants who shared their talents and inspired us with their performances. The Highland Idol 2023-24 school year winner is Gavin Millward. Finalists included Joselyn Dye, Milee Dayley, Kaitlyn (Dru) Brower, Rebecca Winward, and Cooper Corrington. All the performances were fantastic. Thank you to student government for organizing the event, it was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who donated their money, time, and talents.

POW WOW AT HIGHLAND
We had an amazing turnout at the POW WOW organized by the Highland Native American Club. It was a great event and we appreciate all of our students that helped organize it, participated in it, and came to support. This is an event we hope to continue into the future.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP INTEREST FOR 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR
Students, if you are interested in Student Government for the 2024-2025 school year, please check your Counselors Google Classroom for information regarding the responsibilities of each elected position.  There will be a mandatory meeting for all those who are interested tomorrow, April 23 at lunch in Room B68, Mrs. Sorrell’s room.

HIGHLAND PROM-MAY 11th at ISU STUDENT UNION BALLROOM

Highland Prom is scheduled for May 11th from 8pm-11pm at the ISU Ballroom in the Student Union Building. The Student Union parking lot will be tore up for reconstruction. Students can park anywhere around the Student Union in designated parking spaces. Prom tickets are now on sale in the Bursar’s Office. Tickets are $25 per person or $50 per couple. They will be $30 per person at the door. Students if you are taking a date that is not from Highland, Poky, or Century, you will need to pick up an out of town guest form from the office.

GRADUATING CLASS OF 2024

Seniors - make sure to get all your Senior fees paid prior to graduation. You will not receive your diploma until all fees have been cleared. Senior fine lists are posted by the Bursar's Office & Attendance Office.


Herff Jones will be at Highland handing out caps and gowns the 1st week of May. A specific date and time will be sent out soon. You can still order you cap and gown online from the website below….

The Senior All Night Party is at outer limits the night of graduation from 9pm-3am. Tickets are now on sale. $50 a person includes food, laser tag, and more. Buy your ticket now in room B68.

EXTRACURRICULARS'
What started as a dream and a crayon drawing by Coach Christian Colonel was made into a reality this last weekend. Congratulations to Highland Baseball on their first Varsity game on Westmark Credit Union Baseball Field at Highland. They celebrated by winning a double header verses Madison. It was a great event and the field will provide a great place for Highland Baseball now and in the future.
